When We Are Closed
The out of hours service is only for medical problems which cannot wait until the following working day. Problems that were foreseeable, can wait or do not need immediate attention should be dealt with in normal working hours.
You can access the out of hours service by calling our regular number (023) 8074 3401 or West Hampshire Out Of Hours No 0300 300 2012 to hear instructions on what to do. You will be offered advice, an appointment with a GP or a home visit, whichever seems the most appropriate clinically. The appointments can be in a variety of places which include the Walk-in Centres & Totton Health Centre.

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
